KAEYC Is Accepting Conference Proposals Online
KAEYC is now accepting conference proposals for the 2013 KAEYC Professional Development Event. This event is expected to draw over 300 participants. Conference attendees work with children, birth through age twelve, and represent a variety of disciplines: family child care, early childhood preschool, infant-toddler, after-school, kindergarten, special education, health, psychology, teacher education, and administration. KAEYC is seeking all early childhood professionals interested in presenting at the annual KAEYC Professional Development Day Saturday, October 19th, in Manhattan. All presentation topics are welcome, however we would especially be interested in offering more Infant/Toddler based presentations as well as Kindergarten readiness and Early Childhood Special Education based presentations.

Calling all KAEYC Members.......VOTE TODAY!
As an KAEYC member, you are eligible to vote in the 2013 KAEYC Governing Board election. The slate includes Secretary, Treasurer and five Members At Large. The 2013 election is being conducted via email, when possible, to reduce costs and environmental impact. You may, however, contact our office via phone (785-280-0088) to request a copy of the ballot via mail.
Your vote will help to determine the composition of the KAEYC Governing Board. It is an important statement that shapes the future of our association and demonstrates your commitment to securing high quality early childhood education for all young children and strengthening the early childhood profession. Please review the "Spotlight on the Nominees" and exercise your vote today!
Ballots must be received by and/or postmarked by June 1, 2013. Those elected will be announced on the KAEYC website by the end of June. Newly elected board members assume office July 1 for a 2-year term.
